Application Process

Please read through our website and sales policy before applying!

We do use a waitlist system.

You must submit a pre-screening application to be approved and added to the waitlist.

You will find the application on the waiting list page.
(4/16 - Waitlist is currently closed and we are not accepting any new applicants at this time)

Once an application is received, I will contact you shortly to let you know if you have been accepted and what our current wait time is.

Those on the waiting list will receive a monthly check-in email that reiterates your interest. Failure to respond within 48 hours will result in your removal from the waiting list.

 Baby Bunny Reservation Process

When a bunny reaches four weeks of age, I will begin to contact those on our waiting list.

The first person on the list gets first pick and so forth, until all babies from current litters are reserved.

Once contacted about a bunny, failure to respond within 12 hours will result in your removal from the waiting list.

Bunnies generally are priced between $250 - $300 depending on quality and color. Our bunnies are fed the best quality food and hay, come litter box trained and are provided with superb care and daily interaction since day one. Please understand that we are constantly investing a lot of time and money into providing the best environment and care possible for our buns. The price is the price. Please do not ask for discounts. We simply cannot maintain our high standards of care for any less. You've all heard the saying... you pay for what you get!

Pick Up
Bunnies cannot leave our home until they are at least 8 weeks of age or older.
Bunny pick up dates and times will be discussed 2 weeks prior to them departing to their new homes.
All bunnies must be picked up at our location in Winfield, MD.
Bring a pet carrier with timothy hay to transport your bunny home.
For the safety of my family and our bunnies, we operate a closed rabbitry. Bunnies will be picked up outside of our home.
I will provide each rabbit with a pedigree, a care sheet, and baggie of transition feed to go home with.

*I do travel frequently during the year to CT/NH to visit family and may be able to accommodate those purchasing outside of MD. Just send me an email and we can discuss. I make no promises though and an extra fee may apply.*

We do not ship our bunnies.

We guarantee that, to the best of our knowledge at the time you pick up your bunny, it will be in good health and temperament. We provide regular health checks and will never knowingly sell a sick or injured rabbit. You are responsible for following our recommendations for feeding and care, as well as seeking veterinary assistance if necessary. We will not sell a pet bunny has shown signs of aggression, but keep in mind that bunnies can become hormonal around 5/6 months of age. Spaying or neutering generally will help your hormonal rabbit return to their happy, friendly self. After the bunny leaves us, you are responsible for its health and well-being. No refunds will be offered. PLEASE FULLY EXAMINE YOUR BUNNY BEFORE YOU COMPLETE YOUR PURCHASE!!

All rabbits are sexed before posting them as available, however it is the buyers responsibility to double check gender at pick up. It can be very difficult to tell a baby bunny’s gender due to small size and the differences in how some babies develop. While we’re generally quite accurate and we do check weekly as they mature, mistakes identifying gender can occur when purchasing a baby bunny.

All of our bunnies will come with a full or partial pedigree. Although the majority of our bunnies are sold to pet homes and there will be little to no need for this piece of paper, I feel it is important to share the ancestry of your new bunny and where they came from. Since our bunnies will be sold at 8 weeks, which is before they are fully developed, we have no way of guaranteeing that your bunny will place well at shows or produce litters successfully.

Do your research! Please read our Bunny Info section for more details about bunny care. Baby bunnies are particularly sensitive to stress and dietary changes.  Minimizing stress (such as other pets, rough play, startling noises, etc.) and keeping your bunny on the Sherwood Pet Health pellets and high quality hay are all important, especially the first month home.

We reserve the right to change our sales policy at any time and to refuse sale of a bunny for any reason.  It is your responsibility to read our sales policy before purchase and to communicate effectively.

We offer a lifetime of support. If you ever need of any advice or have questions, feel free to contact us!

If for any reason you can no longer care for your bunny, we will gladly take them back without a refund.
